Firenze, Torrentino, 1551. In folio (332 x 220 mm); 47, [1]; 113, [3]; [4], 277, [52] pagine. Frontespizio con il titolo entro elaborata cornice xilografica, ulteriori due frontespizi con marca tipografica alle armi medicee, capilettera incisi in legno (piccoli fori di tarlo con minima perdita, qualche abrasione, alone in fine.) Legatura del secolo XVII in piena pergamena con titolo in oro al dorso e tagli rossi a spruzzo. Nota di possesso di Filippo Trenta del 1783. Bel volume uscito dai torchi di Torrentino, tipografo di origine fiamminga nominato stampatore ducale da Cosimo I de’ Medici e figura centrale dell’editoria fiorentina del Cinquecento. La sua officina produsse opere di notevole pregio tipografico, espressione del progetto culturale promosso dal duca per affermare il prestigio della corte medicea.
