Pietà Cristo tra le braccia di sua madre Maria: in un primo piano intimo e di grande intensità emotiva, allo spettatore viene trasmesso il dolore della Madonna; il soggetto è uno dei più ricorrenti nell’iconografia cristiana, esistono diverse opere simili, che vengono spesso ricondotte all’area fiamminga, in parte specificatamente alla scuola di Quinten Massijs; anche in questo caso potrebbe trattarsi di una variante fiamminga o italo-fiamminga del soggetto, olio su legno di latifoglia, probabilmente XVII secolo, non firmato, segni di invecchiamento, restauri minimi, cornice laccata di nero con profilo decorato in oro, sul retro vecchia etichetta «L'Arte Antica Livorno», datata 1998, dimensioni della tavola di legno 32,5 x 23,5 cm.
