Francois Théodore Devaulx, Hygieia datata 1849, firmata Devaulx, numero di timbro 4882 sul retro, bronzo patinato marrone scuro, bellezza seduta con capelli annodati, la veste in stile antico scivolata lungo le braccia e avvolta intorno al corpo in sottili pieghe, sul braccio tiene un serpente tra i fiori in un gesto intimo, accanto a lei giace un cesto di fiori sul basamento naturalistico e curvo, un tempo parte di una cassa di orologio, in ottime condizioni, h 41 cm. Informazioni sull'artista: scultore francese (1808 Parigi - 1871 ?), studiò dal 1823 all'École des beaux-arts de Paris sotto la guida di Jules Ramey, partecipò al Salon des artistes di Parigi dal 1845 al 1870, per il quale ricevette una medaglia di terza classe nel 1849; nel 1833 vinse il secondo premio al Prix de Rome.
