Una Colt Mod. 1877 "Thunderer", con fondina Calibro .41 (polvere nera), n. 23050, numero corrispondente, nessun numero riconoscibile sul tamburo. Canna leggermente ruvida, lunghezza 3½". Indirizzo del produttore su due righe: Hartford, U.S.A.. Indicazione del calibro difficilmente leggibile. Dati del brevetto a sinistra sul telaio. La finitura originale in nichel è in gran parte conservata. Incisione floreale di fabbrica completa. All’epoca, Cuno A. Helfricht era l’incisore di fabbrica. Il retro dell’impugnatura è inciso con «E.P. Bearns». Guancette in madreperla. Secondo la lettera Colt allegata, l’arma fu consegnata il 17 maggio 1880 alla ditta B. Kittredge, Ohio. In dotazione una fondina da sinistra usata. Dopo aver premuto il grilletto, è necessario spingerlo in avanti (molla debole o olio resinificato?).
