Uno shamshir ottomano con lama in wootz, 1800 circa Lama persiana larga e pesante, realizzata in splendido damasco wootz. All’attaccatura sul lato terz (in resti) cartigli con iscrizioni incastonate in oro: «Abbas, servo del Signore del Regno» e «Opera di Assad Ullah». Fascetta dell’impugnatura e guardia in argento punzonate a motivi ornamentali, con due guancette in corno di rinoceronte rivettate e incastonate con filo d’argento. Il fodero in legno è rivestito in pelle punzonata e presenta, sul lato esterno, un’ampia cucitura a filo metallico. Rinvii in argento leggermente incisi con motivi floreali (scuriti) con due fibbie di trasporto. Tipica sciabola mamelucca dell’epoca napoleonica. Lunghezza 104 cm.
