LAURENCIN (Marie), 1883-1956. Lettera autografa "Marie", senza data, su carta blu con le sue iniziali, 2 pagine in-8 al suo caro Ventura. In questa lettera intima e commovente, Marie Laurencin si lamenta, non senza ironia, di essere costretta a lavorare sodo, pur affermando con il suo consueto distacco il proprio disprezzo per la gloria. Confida poi un dolore più profondo: ha appena appreso per caso del nuovo matrimonio del suo ex marito, il pittore tedesco Otto von Wätjen, dal quale aveva divorziato nel 1921. Laurencin ammette di aver pianto alla notizia, pur riconoscendo di essere felice che lui non sia più solo, ma si rammarica che lui non le abbia detto nulla.
