[HOZIER (Louis Pierre d')]. Armorial général de la France. Primo registro. Parigi, Imprimerie Royale, 1821. Formato in-4 robusto, xl-909-[1] pp., brossurato, copertina provvisoria d’epoca. Nuova edizione di questo importante repertorio genealogico e araldico, pubblicato originariamente da Louis-Pierre d’Hozier tra il 1738 e il 1768 e ripreso dal figlio Ambroise-Louis-Marie d’Hozier. Questo primo registro, preceduto da testi relativi alla nobiltà e agli stemmi, raccoglie le genealogie di un gran numero di famiglie francesi, illustrate con i rispettivi blasoni incisi nel testo. L’opera è impreziosita da un ritratto di Luigi XV (inciso) e da 7 tavole araldiche fuori testo, oltre che da numerosi scudi all’interno del testo. La riedizione avrebbe dovuto proseguire e completare l’opera originaria: nel 1823 apparve solo un secondo registro, ma l’impresa rimase incompiuta.
