GIRTIN (Thomas). Selezione di venti tra le più pittoresche vedute di Parigi. Londra, M. A. & John Girtin, 1803. Grande broadside all'italiana, 47 x 65 cm, mezzo fondo marrone con angoli, dorso liscio decorato (legatura coeva). Legatura danneggiata, prima di copertina staccata. Rara e bella suite comprendente un grande titolo, una foglia di dedica e 20 tavole disegnate e incise da Thomas Girtin e stampate all'acquatinta da F. C. Lewis (14), Harraden (3), Pickett (2) e Stadler (1): vedute delle Tuileries, del Louvre, del Pont Saint-Michel, del Pont Neuf, dell'Hôtel de la Monoie (sic), del Pont au Change, della Porte Saint-Denis, di Notre-Dame, del Panthéon, del Pont de Sèvres, ecc. riprese da un'angolazione originale e insolita, in particolare a livello dell'acqua per le rive della Senna. Copia del secondo stato stampato all'acquatinta. Il primo è stato stampato in vernice molle. Il volume dovrebbe avere un finto titolo che qui manca (come spesso accade). Leggero foxing e macchie.
