Un sigillo in bronzo, dono ad Arthur Nikisch, Lipsia, 1920 Sigillo in bronzo raffigurante una ragazza con un mazzo di fiori. Base a forma di imbuto con dedica perimetrale: «Arthur Nikisch in occasione del 25° anniversario 1895-1920, Gewandhaus di Lipsia». Firma dell’artista sul retro della base, leggibile solo in parte: «H. Siepein» (?). Matrice rotonda in ottone con chiave musicale incassata e la scritta «Arthur Nikisch». Diametro della matrice circa 3,2 cm. Altezza totale 12 cm. Il sigillo fu donato ad Arthur Nikisch (1855 - 1922), l’illustre direttore dell’Orchestra del Gewandhaus di Lipsia, in occasione del suo 25° anniversario come direttore. Nikisch era particolarmente apprezzato per le sue magistrali interpretazioni delle opere di Anton Bruckner e Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij. Provenienza: collezione britannica di matrici di David Morris.
