Secondo un’ipotesi, esse rappresenterebbero giovani sotto l’effetto di sostanze stupefacenti che, nell’ambito di un rituale di fertilità, attendono con gioia la propria morte sacrificale e la conseguente esistenza in un aldilà migliore. Numerose di queste figure sono state inoltre frantumate ritualmente.
