Striking contrast between the raw green of the mosses and the jet black of this volcanic hill in the Fjallabak nature reserve in Iceland. This ecosystem is very fragile, and if for example a car drives off the track, the traces left by the car on the thin layer of moss that covers the ground can take years to fade and be repaired.
