Tappeto MÉCHED. (Iran) Metà del XX secolo. Velluto di lana su base di cotone. Uno sfondo color ciliegia, ricoperto da un'esuberante e policroma semina floreale, ospita un medaglione a mandorla color salmone, con una croce vegetale, incorniciato da una struttura «modanata» cruciforme polilobata blu notte, con volute floreali multicolori e i relativi pendenti. Quattro pennacchi color mare, con arabeschi ondulati, ornati da corolle sbocciate, racchiudono l’insieme. Il bordo principale color notte presenta una successione di magnifici fiori, disposti su una ricca ghirlanda vegetale. È affiancata da quattro controbordature color cielo e avorio con ghirlande di fiorellini. Passamaneria esterna color ciliegia. Firmata «0h tout puissant». Magnifica composizione.
