Lotti 59-62 Una fiaschetta in ceramica blu e bianca del primo periodo safavide, Iran, fine del XV secolo - inizio del XVI secolo Di forma a goccia su un piedino corto, il collo slanciato che sale fino a un pomello e si allarga in corrispondenza del bocchino, ora rotto; decorata in blu scuro su fondo bianco brillante; la decorazione è divisa in due pannelli da fasce continue: quello inferiore raffigura alberi e ponti, quello superiore alberi, fiori e uccelli; un motivo a spirale ripetuto sul pomello; 24 cm di altezza Provenienza: Collezione privata di Sybil Maitland Salvin Calverley (1866-1925) e da allora per via ereditaria; ereditata da Osbert Salvin (1835-1898) e, secondo quanto si ritiene, da Frederick DuCane Godman (1834-1919)
