Huth, Willy Robert. Senza titolo. (Uomo con berretto da baseball). Tecnica mista con pennarello, acquerello e pastello a cera su carta rigida. Monogrammato e datato in basso a destra. 1964. Dimensioni del foglio: 26,5 x 17 cm. Supporto: 38,5 x 29 cm. Willy Robert Huth (1890-1977) è considerato uno degli artisti di spicco della «Generazione perduta» del Realismo Espressivo. Dopo la formazione presso la Scuola di Arti Applicate di Erfurt e a Stoccarda con Paul Kaemmerer, dove conobbe W. Baumeister e A. Hölzel, dal 1919 lavorò come pittore indipendente a Berlino. Lì incontrò Schmidt-Rottluff, Heckel, Pechstein e Grosz, che facevano parte della sua cerchia di amici. Durante il regime nazista gli fu vietato di dipingere e, in seguito a un bombardamento, tutte le sue opere andarono distrutte. Dal 1947 al 1957 fu professore all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Berlino. - Il foglio è interamente montato su supporto, gli angoli e i bordi presentano lievi ammaccature, per il resto è in ottime condizioni.
