AGUSTÍ PUIG PINYOL (Sabadell, Barcellona, 1957). “Nudo femminile”, 1998. Tecnica mista su cartoncino. Firmato e datato in basso al centro. Dimensioni: 81 x 60 cm; 87,5 x 66 cm (cornice). L’opera messa all’asta è particolarmente rappresentativa di Agustí Puig per l’importanza che egli attribuisce al gesto, alla linea e alla materia — elementi fondamentali del suo linguaggio artistico. L’artista riduce il corpo femminile a una silhouette audace tracciata con linee nere, rapide e volutamente imperfette, allontanandosi da qualsiasi tentativo di rappresentazione anatomica convenzionale. Altrettanto caratteristica è la prominenza della superficie stessa: macchie, velature, trasparenze e irregolarità materiche rimangono visibili e costituiscono parte attiva della composizione. Agustí Puig si è formato presso l’Escola d’Arts i Oficis de Sabadell, l’Escola Massana e il Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc. Nel 1985 ha ricevuto la quarta menzione d’onore al Premio Internazionale di Disegno Joan Miró. Le sue opere fanno parte delle collezioni della Fundació Vila Casas, del Taipei Fine Arts Museum e del Museu d’Art Contemporani de Tarragona, tra le altre.
