Carol Bailly (statunitense, nata nel 1955) "Una bella signora in minigonna che mangia un gelato alla vaniglia biologico", 2016 circa Pennarello su cartoncino. Spedizione. Altezza 32, Larghezza 24 cm. Provenienza: collezione di Laurent Danchin (1946-2017), scrittore, saggista e critico d’arte, per successione familiare. Nata a Brockton (Massachusetts) e residente in Svizzera sin dall’adolescenza, Bailly inizia a dedicarsi al collage nel 1980 e poi al disegno dopo un ricovero in ospedale nel 1985; la sua opera narrativa mette in scena figure femminili ispirate a Frida Kahlo o Madonna.
