Una cartella di disegni comprendente circa 50 opere di Jaber Al Mahjoub (tunisino, 1938-2021) Formati vari. Provenienza: collezione di Laurent Danchin (1946-2017), scrittore, saggista e critico d’arte, per eredità familiare. Rimasto orfano in tenera età, pastore, poi fornaio e pugile prima di dedicarsi alla pittura, Jaber viene notato da Jean Dubuffet. I suoi guazzi e acrilici dai colori vivaci, con personaggi contornati di nero, trattano temi sociali e politici; soprannominato «il re di Beaubourg», è rappresentato al LaM di Villeneuve-d’Ascq. Laurent Danchin redige il testo del catalogo *Jaber, les oiseaux d'Art Brut* (mostra a La Gaude, 16-25 settembre 1991, organizzata da Valérie Jeaume e Pierre Farro), gli dedica un capitolo in *Aux frontières de l'art brut* (Lelivredart, Parigi, 2013, pp. 95-104) e co-realizza con Alan Govenar il documentario *Jaber* (1998).
