SCUOLA CINESE (XX SECOLO) Incrociatore leggero di Sua Maestà “Durban” Olio su tavola 16½ x 22½ pollici (42 x 57 cm) Un incrociatore leggero della classe Danae del 1919, entrò in servizio solo nel 1921 e prestò servizio nella Stazione della Cina tra il 1922 e il 1928. Insieme alla sua nave gemella «Dragon», concluse la sua carriera affondata nel 1944 come parte del frangiflutti a protezione del porto Mulberry al largo di Ouistreham, in Normandia. Il suo relitto giace ancora a 36 piedi di profondità.
