Tagli rossi. 2 ff. 512-(7) pp. - 406 pp. 1 f. n. ch. (privilegio) Segni di sfregamento, cappucci consumati. Interno ingiallito, macchie sparse. Nuova edizione in-4 pubblicata a Parigi di quest’opera classica di ippologia, completa in due volumi in-4 rilegati in un unico volume, che si apre con un bellissimo frontespizio inciso a bulino. Illustrata da una tavola pieghevole sulle malattie, una tavola detta «per l’esterno» e 25 figure (incisioni su legno), di cui 8 a tutta pagina e 17 nel testo. Nel 1664, Jacques de Solleysel (1617-1680) pubblicò *Le Parfait Mareschal*, che in seguito rielaborò e corresse. Quest’opera, dedicata principalmente alla medicina e alla chirurgia del cavallo, rese famoso Solleysel, tanto che, per ricompensarlo del suo talento, Luigi XIV lo nominò scudiero ordinario della Grande Scuderia del Re già nel 1664.
