Copertina scolorita dal sole. Edizione originale impreziosita sul frontespizio da una spettacolare vernice morbida di Fernand Khnopff. Tiratura di 120 esemplari in questo formato in-8 (esiste una variante in formato in-16), di cui questo è uno dei 100 su carta olandese numerati dal 21 al 120; reca il n. 30 e la firma dell’editore sul colophon. Il romanzo *Istar* è la quinta parte dell’etopea di Péladan sui costumi latini, iniziata nel 1884 e che ne conterà 21 in tutto (l’ultima apparirà nel 1925). Bellissima copia non rifilata.
