Bella edizione illustrata con 20 acqueforti originali fuori testo di Frans de Geetere (1895-1968). Primo romanzo di Jean de Gourmont, pubblicato originariamente nel 1908. Tiratura di 250 esemplari, questo è uno dei 220 numerati su carta velina d’Arches, n. 165. Frans de Geetere (1895-1968), allievo dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bruxelles. Dopo aver vissuto a Utrecht, si stabilì a Parigi con la sua compagna May den Engelsen. Vissero su una chiatta vicino al Quai Conti. L’incisione erotica era il campo di predilezione di questa coppia di artisti. Si allegano due moduli di sottoscrizione (inseriti nel volume), ciascuno decorato con un'acquaforte dell'artista recante la dicitura «specimen».
