Copia piacevole di questo raro e curioso "trattato teologico" dell'Abbé Gauthier (1696-1780) contro i balli e le canzoni sconce. Parigi, Antoine Boudet, 1775. In-12, vitello marmorizzato marrone, dorso scanalato, fleuron in una doppia cornice dorata alle estremità, titolo dorato su pelle marrone, bordi rabescati, bordi maculati. Legatura contemporanea. LX, 426 pp. e 3 ff. (approvazione, privilegio, catalogo del libraio), banderuole, lettrine e culs-de-lampe. Sfregamenti, angoli leggermente piegati. Seconda edizione, riveduta da Rondet, di questo trattato dell'Abbé Gauthier (1696-1780) che tenta di dimostrare l'influenza nociva delle danze e delle canzoni sconce basate sulle Sacre Scritture. Una bella copia di questa singolare testimonianza dell'oscurantismo che persisteva durante il secolo dei Lumi.
