Londra e New York, Oxford University Press, 1938 e 1939. 3 volumi in folio, rilegatura in cartonato blu, dorsi lisci decorati con il titolo in oro. Circa 2850 pagine in totale, schizzi e planimetrie nel testo. In inglese. Qualche segno di usura, angoli piegati. Imponente studio sull’arte persiana, qui i tre volumi di testo (i tre album mancano). Il primo volume riguarda l’arte preislamica, il secondo l’arte islamica per quanto riguarda l’architettura, la ceramica, la calligrafia e l’epigrafia, mentre il terzo è dedicato alla miniatura, ai tappeti e ai tessuti, alle arti metalliche e alle arti minori.
