Livrea crema-rossa con una motrice aerodinamica e due carrozze agganciate; mancano i pantografi. Condizioni da uso normale, adeguate all’età. Il funzionamento della locomotiva è stato verificato ed è presente. Non si può escludere del tutto la mancanza di piccole parti aggiuntive delicate. Al momento del suo lancio nel 1948, l’ST 800 era il treno ad alta velocità più lungo della gamma Märklin; il prototipo si ispira ai treni aerodinamici statunitensi. La versione color crema-rosso è un pezzo da collezione molto ricercato della serie 800.
