Andrea POZZI (1778-1833), attribuito a Due santi in gloria, forse san Luigi Gonzaga Inchiostro e lavaggio Altezza 31,5 cm Larghezza 18,5 cm Pittore italiano, Andrea Pozzi si forma a Roma presso Stefano Tofanelli. Egli sviluppa uno stile neoclassico ancora influenzato dalla tradizione barocca romana. Ammesso all’Accademia di San Luca nel 1805, partecipa a diversi importanti progetti decorativi, in particolare al Palazzo del Quirinale e al Palazzo Torlonia. Vicino alla cerchia del celebre scultore Antonio Canova, realizza anche dipinti religiosi destinati a diverse chiese italiane. La sua carriera è coronata dalla nomina a presidente dell’Accademia di San Luca nel 1830.
