Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (1606 Leida - Amsterdam 1669), La presentazione al Tempio con l’angelo: piccola tavola. Incisione su carta vergata, frammento di filigrana probabilmente “Agnello pasquale”. (1630). 10,4 x 8 cm (foglio). Bartsch 51; White/Boon 51 II (di II); Hinterding/Rutgers (The New Hollstein) 54 II (di II). Provenienza: Martin Folkes (1690–1754), Londra, con il suo timbro da collezionista sul recto (Lugt 1034); sul verso è riportata una scritta a matita sbiadita «vente Mariette». Ottima impressione del secondo stato di New Hollstein, con tutti i dettagli leggermente incisi nel quadrante in alto a sinistra chiaramente visibili; la stampa presenta lievi sbavature sulla mano sinistra di Simon, lievi graffi da pulizia e bordi della lastra macchiati d’inchiostro. Nowell-Usticke registra l’incisione come «C 1+» e la descrive come «una lastra piuttosto rara, leggermente mordenzata». Con margini filiformi in alcuni punti, per il resto rifilata al segno della lastra. – Sul retro tracce e residui di un precedente montaggio. Per il resto in ottime condizioni.
