Anton Kern (1709 Tetschen – 1747 Dresda), L’Annunciazione. Gesso, inchiostro di china, lavato e con risaltature bianche su carta fatta a mano. Circa 42,5 x 29,5 cm. Questa composizione si basa su una pala d’altare di Giovanni Battista Pittoni (1687–1767), commissionata poco prima del 1730 per la Basilica di Santa Maria a Cracovia e facente parte di una serie in cinque parti destinata a decorare gli altari laterali della navata centrale. Le prime opere di Kern mostrano una forte influenza di Pittoni, di cui realizzò numerose copie. I disegni e i dipinti di Kern assomigliano spesso talmente tanto a quelli del suo maestro da essere stati erroneamente attribuiti a quest’ultimo.
