Rilegatura coeva in pergamena del XVI secolo, leggermente consumata e con dorso rifatto. Completo: 72 pp. Nel complesso in ottimo stato. Cambini (c. 1450-1527), umanista e scrittore italiano, è autore di una delle prime opere sull’Impero Ottomano, pubblicata postuma. Il testo contiene diverse preziose fonti primarie sulla caduta di Costantinopoli, basate sulle testimonianze dei sopravvissuti. Cambini descrisse l’organizzazione e la disciplina ottomana, offrendo un resoconto contemporaneo esaustivo dell’ascesa degli Ottomani e della caduta di Bisanzio.
