SCHERMO DA APPOGGIO, DETTO “SCHERMO DA CARROZZA”, Epoca Luigi Filippo, struttura cilindrica in legno laccato con decorazioni vegetali; il foglio presenta un motivo realizzato a guazzo raffigurante un pavone e un uccello esotico che giocano (alcuni piccoli difetti) Lunghezza della struttura: 62 cm Dimensioni del pannello: larghezza 48,5 cm - Altezza massima (senza frange) 63 cm Perito: Raphaël Maraval-Hutin Provenienza | Collezione di Henri Dupuy de Lôme per la sua tenuta nel Var, poi tramandata per via ereditaria Biografia | Stanislas Henri Laurent Dupuy de Lôme Ingegnere della Marina francese (Ploemeur 1816-Parigi 1885). Costruì la prima nave a vapore, la «Napoléon» (1850), e la prima fregata corazzata, la «Gloire» (1858), che servì da modello per la marina del Secondo Impero. Membro del Consiglio di Stato e deputato del Morbihan. Nel 1870 riuscì a far uscire da Parigi, allora sotto assedio, sessanta aerostati. Era membro dell’Accademia delle Scienze dal 1866.
