COPPIA DI VASI a fianchi smussati di epoca Impero in lamiera verniciata con decorazioni in oro raffiguranti amorini, trofei di faretre e frecce, rami di quercia e foglie d’acanto su fondo rosso Quattro piedini a zampa su base quadrata laccata effetto finto marmo Altezza: 27,5 cm (segni di usura e mancanze) Provenienza | Collezione di Henri Dupuy de Lôme per la sua tenuta nel Var, poi tramandata per via ereditaria Biografia | Stanislas Henri Laurent Dupuy de Lôme Ingegnere della Marina francese (Ploemeur 1816-Parigi 1885). Costruì la prima nave a vapore, la «Napoléon» (1850), e la prima fregata corazzata, la «Gloire» (1858), che servì da modello per la marina del Secondo Impero. Membro del Consiglio di Stato e deputato del Morbihan. Nel 1870 riuscì a far uscire da Parigi, allora sotto assedio, sessanta aerostati. Era membro dell’Accademia delle Scienze dal 1866.
