GIAPPONE, Periodo Meiji Ampio bruciatore di incenso in bronzo, poggiante su una base circolare sormontata da quattro alti piedini a forma di fenici stilizzate. Il bruciatore di incenso poggia su un piede alto; l’ampio corpo a forma di calice presenta una ricca decorazione in rilievo raffigurante una chimera che si muove tra i rami fioriti, affiancata da due manici a forma di draghi, la maniglia del coperchio è lavorata in altorilievo e assume la forma di un makara che emerge dalle onde. Marchi a timbro 松篷 sulla base e sotto il bruciatore di incenso. Altezza totale 52 cm. Il makara è leggermente mobile.
