Jules Pascin (1885-1930) Jeune fille au fauteuil Parigi, 1927 Olio su tela Firmato in alto a destra 100 × 81 cm Nel corso degli anni '20, Jules Pascin conferisce ai suoi dipinti un aspetto perlaceo. Le carnagioni color miele della modella si fondono con lo sfondo iridescente. Le relazioni tumultuose di Pascin con le donne hanno ispirato a Johann Sfar un romanzo grafico scandaloso. Non è possibile identificare quale delle «garçonne» della cerchia del pittore — Lucy Krohg, Hermine David... — sia stata la modella di questo quadro, sicuramente uno dei capolavori del suo periodo «perlato».
