BRACCIALE DA CERIMONIA - Burkina Faso - Senufo Prima metà del XX secolo. Lega di rame (bronzo o ottone). Dimensioni: 13 cm. Imponente bracciale aperto da caviglia a forma di bobina svasata. Questo modello doveva essere dotato di un sistema di chiusura che consentisse di fissare l’anello attorno alla caviglia. Oggetti rituali imponenti, questi gioielli venivano indossati dalle donne di alto rango durante le cerimonie della società iniziatica del Poro. Questi oggetti fungevano anche da riserva monetaria.
