Tabacchiera in legno, avorio e intarsi in madreperla raffigurante una giovane giapponese, Giappone, periodo Meiji-Taisho (1868-1920) La giovane donna è raffigurata in piedi, vestita con un kimono in legno intagliato con decorazioni floreali intarsiate in madreperla. Indossa una cintura d’avorio annodata sul davanti e tiene tra le mani d’avorio un uchiwa laccato con intarsi di madreperla e avorio. La testa mobile, che funge da tappo e si prolunga in una paletta, è in avorio. Il volto è sorridente, sormontato da una chioma raccolta in uno chignon e adornata da un kushi impreziosito da un cabochon di vetro rosso. Sotto i piedi, in un cartiglio d’avorio, è inciso il marchio Qianlong composto da quattro caratteri in scrittura zhuanshu.
