ELENA PAREDES (Rosario de Santa Fe, Argentina, 1912 - Barcellona, 2006). Senza titolo. Acquaforte, copia 3/10. Firmata e giustificata a mano. Presenta usura, alcune tracce di sporco e leggere macchie. Misure: 56 x 41 cm (carta). Elena Paredes inizia nel 1942 la sua formazione pittorica con gli insegnanti Baixas, prima, e Santasusagna poi. Frequenta anche alcuni corsi presso la Scuola di Sant Jordi. Nel 1962 tiene la sua prima mostra individuale all'Ateneo Barcelonés, e ben presto inizia a ricevere importanti riconoscimenti. Nel Salon di maggio del 1960 aveva già ricevuto il Premio Torres García e nel 1965 il Premio Joan Miró. Due anni dopo vince il Primo Premio di Pittura Tina del Port. Poco dopo viene invitata a partecipare a una mostra di arte catalana alla National Gallery di Ottawa. Nel 1968 partecipa a mostre collettive a Milano e Londra, continuando la sua incessante attività espositiva. La sua arte fa parte di una nuova figurazione espressionista, in cui sono spesso rappresentati sentimenti di angoscia e oppressione. Paredes è attualmente rappresentata al MACBA.
