Scuola spagnola del XIX secolo. "Cristo in croce" Bronzo patinato. Croce in legno. Dimensioni: 36 x 32 cm (Cristo); 64 x 40 cm (croce). Un Cristo in bronzo con quattro chiodi, montato su una croce di legno dalle linee semplici. La figura segue un ideale stilizzato, con le braccia distese in una delicata diagonale, il capo chino e il corpo sobrio, privo di eccessi drammatici. La modellazione anatomica — con un busto ben definito e proporzioni equilibrate — evoca i modelli classici e rinascimentali, sebbene reinterpretati attraverso una sensibilità devozionale ottocentesca. Il velo di purezza, reso con pieghe verticali e arricciato in vita, introduce movimento in una composizione di grande serenità formale.
