Set di due bilance; Francia e Germania; prima metà del XX secolo. Metallo e legno. Presentano segni di usura compatibili con l’età e l’uso; una delle due presenta smalto scheggiato. Dimensioni: 30 x 53 x 60 cm; 63 x 39 x 52 cm. Set composto da due bilance di precisione per uso commerciale, rappresentative dell’evoluzione degli strumenti di pesatura durante la prima metà del XX secolo. La prima è una bilancia commerciale verticale a ventaglio, prodotta da Berkel in Europa, con telaio in metallo e piatto di pesatura smaltato bianco. La seconda è una bilancia di precisione, costituita da un sistema di pesatura con pesi separati, montata su un’elegante base in legno massiccio dotata di un cassetto inferiore, presumibilmente destinato alla conservazione dei set di pesi e dei piccoli accessori. I pezzi presentano segni di usura compatibili con l’età e l’uso, e uno di essi presenta una perdita di smalto.
