Philipp Franck "La battaglia delle Amazzoni". Anni 1910/1920. Philipp Franck 1860 Francoforte sul Meno – 1944 Berlino-Wannsee Incisione su carta a mano spessa, color camoscio. In basso a destra, firmata a matita «Philipp Franck». Sul bordo inferiore, da mano estranea, indicata l’identità dell’artista e il titolo a matita. Nel margine bianco lievi macchie da umidità, i bordi del foglio presentano alcune lesioni. Dimensioni: cartoncino 36,5 x 32,5, foglio 53,S x 44 cm. Philipp Franck 1860 Francoforte sul Meno – 1944 Berlino-Wannsee 1877–79 Studi di arte presso l’Istituto Städel di Francoforte sul Meno. Entrata a far parte della colonia di pittori di Kronberg-Taunus. Dal 1881 allievo di E. v. Gebhardt ed E. Dücker all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Düsseldorf. Nel 1892 fu nominato docente presso la Scuola Reale di Belle Arti di Berlino e nel 1915 ne divenne direttore. Cofondatore della Secessione di Berlino e membro della Secessione di Monaco di Baviera.
