La superficie superiore presenta una cavità concava, a forma di vaso, circondata da una cornice di scaglie in rilievo e da un bordo sporgente. La forma del vaso è pura e virtuosa. Sul lato è incisa in rilievo la scritta "嶶州胡子卿製" "乾隆三十年造", mentre sul retro è inciso un testo che termina con "乾隆御銘", seguito da due sigilli "幾暇悟情" e "得佳趣".
