Unica rivista d’arte surrealista, Minotaure fu fondata da Albert Skira e Tériade nel 1933. Pubblicata fino al maggio 1939, rappresenta la rivista più bella e audace del periodo prebellico, con numerose illustrazioni a colori e copertine disegnate da Picasso, Gaston Louis Roux, André Derain, Francisco Borès, Marcel Duchamp, Juan Mir Salvador Dalí, Henri Matisse, René Magritte, Max Ernst e André Masson.
