In their original cardboard box. Defects on the box, stereographic prints in good condition. Colors seem to be still nice and bright. Rare complete series with one hundred numbered views. Castles, temples, gardens, monuments, views of cities, scenes of life and customs and curiosities are depicted. The Chicago University Library, which has a large collection of Stereograph Cards, has this series missing a 'Card'. A stereograph consists of two nearly-identical (often-photographic) images which form a three-dimensional image when viewed through a stereoscope. Truman Ward Ingersoll, 1862 – 1922, eminent photographer, is known for the stereoviews he published in the United States and other areas. In the early 20th century he also produced half-tone lithoviews. His company was named Ingersoll View Company.
