Spada di Damasco per ufficiali dell'esercito prussiano, seconda metà del XIX secolo Lama pesante e dritta a un solo taglio (macchiata, leggermente cesellata) con punta centrale a doppio taglio, timbro "F.H" alla base e incisione "Eisenhauer Damascus steel" su fondo oro. Elsa in metallo non ferroso di una spada antica con piastre di guardia a forma di rene e ganci per le dita (quillons spezzati, avvolgimento del filo mancante), sovrapposta a parti dell'elsa contemporanea fissate a vite (chiusura a tre terzi con "zampe di gatto") di una spada da corazziere. Leggermente danneggiato in alcuni punti, segni dell'età. Lunghezza 98,5 cm. Esempio molto interessante di arma individuale da ufficiale con elsa modificata sul campo. Condizione: III

Spanish painter, disciple of Ramón Martí Alsina. Works by Torrescassana are preserved, among others, in the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, the Víctor Balaguer Library Museum, or the Museum of Art of Gerona, and the collection of Banco Sabadell, with a painting dedicated to the vintage in which the traditional realism that characterized much of his painting, closely linked to the teachings received from Martí Alsina, opens up to new studies of light.
