Design Fulvio Bianconi (1915-1996) A fasce verticali Rare orangeade set composed of eleven elements (1 carafe and 10 glasses) Circa 1951-1953 Dim. height of carafe 16 cm Fulvio Bianconi, based in Milan, worked all his life with publishing houses such as Mondadori, Bompiani and Garzanti as a graphic designer and illustrator, as well as creating frescoes for the Galtrucco boutiques and fair pavilions. Alongside these professions, he also developed a passion for glass. In 1946, he made frequent trips to Murano to learn more about the art of glassmaking. His meeting with Paolo Venini was decisive. The young man's creativity marked a turning point in the history of the VENINI company. Fulvio Bianconi's eagerness to research and experiment with new techniques for working with glass, as well as reworking ancient know-how, is a constant. New movements and colors in glass are born, redrawing the link between Murano's history and a great modernity.Numerous emblematic works are born of the contamination of craft with creative fantasy, such as the Figures de la Commedia de l'Arte, the Tiepolo, the Mouchoir, the Sirènes and the Pezzati.
