[BOIS GRAVÉ]. Matrice sur bois. Le Sceau de Nicolas Ruffo. Matrice sur bois représentant le sceau de Nicolas Ruffo, grand personnage de la noblesse italo-normande et vice-roi de Calabre au XIVᵉ siècle. Matrice montée sur bois (90 x 75 mm), légende à l'encre manuscrite noire sur une étiquette collée au verso. Légères griffures. Belle matrice sur bois représentant le sceau de Nicolas Ruffo (1362-1434), marquis de Calabre, qui fut dépouillé de sa charge de Vice-roi de Calabre pour avoir suivi le parti de Louis d'Anjou et se réfugia en France. Il figure un écu penché surmonté d'un cimier en forme de tête de cheval, le tout entouré d'un médaillon orné de la légende gravée en caractères gothiques. En bonne condition.
