Archaïque poteau anthropomorphe Bois dur, restes de pigments blancs, très ancienne érosion et marques d’usage Culture Tiv, Nigeria, probablement XIXe siècle ou antérieur 99 x 15 cm Ce poteau anthropomorphe était planté dans le sol, en lien avec l’espace domestique ou rituel. La figure féminine, debout, présente une posture frontale et stable, avec des formes simplifiées qui renforcent sa présence. Le visage, aux traits apaisés, évoque une fonction protectrice, possiblement liée à une figure ancestrale ou tutélaire. L’ensemble se distingue par la sobriété de son traitement et la force de sa verticalité.
