Max Ackermann 1887 Berlin - 1975 Unterlengenhardt - Sans titre (Baigneuses) - Huile sur bois. 33,3 x 24 cm, 50 x 40 cm (dimensions avec cadre). Signé au verso : MAX ACKERMANN. Entièrement visible dans un cadre sous verre. Max Ackermann était un peintre et graphiste allemand. Il a étudié en 1906 à l'école des beaux-arts de Weimar auprès d'Henry van de Velde, en 1908 à Dresde dans la classe de dessin de Richard Müller, puis à partir de 1909 à Munich auprès de Franz von Stuck à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts. En 1912, il se rendit à Stuttgart, où il intégra, à l’Académie royale des Beaux-Arts, le cercle d’élèves d’Adolf Hölzel, dont les théories l’impressionnèrent profondément. C’est là qu’il s’initia à la peinture abstraite.
