Cruche moderne - Céramique d'atelier. Christine Freigang, Bürgel 1992. Céramique, pâte beige. Émail brun mat avec un émail bleu brillant. Signée et datée sur le socle : CF 92. H. 23,5 cm, L. 38 cm, P. 13 cm. Œuvre de Christine Freigang (1944, Iéna – 2014). Christine Freigang était issue d'une dynastie de potiers de Bürgel. Elle a suivi un apprentissage de potière auprès de son père, Walter Gebauer. De 1965 à 1966, elle a suivi les cours de premier cycle de Lothar Zitzmann à l’École supérieure de design industriel de Halle – Burg Giebichenstein. Elle a obtenu le titre de maître potier et a travaillé aux côtés de son père jusqu’en 1971. En 1972, elle a loué une partie de son atelier et s’est mise à son compte en tant que potière. -- Le bec verseur et surtout l’anse sont composés d’éléments céramiques distincts.
