Gelpke, André Homme au chapeau. 1979. Tirage vintage à la gélatine argentique sur papier Agfa. 32,5 x 22 cm (38,7 x 29 cm). Signé, titré et daté par le photographe au crayon au verso. André Gelpke est un photographe germano-suisse qui a étudié auprès d’Otto Steinert à la Folkwangschule d’Essen de 1969 à 1975. En 1975, il a cofondé l’agence photographique Visum avec Rudi Meisel et Gerd Ludwig. Se tournant de plus en plus vers la photographie artistique, Gelpke, aux côtés de contemporains tels que Heinrich Riebesehl et Michael Schmidt, a largement contribué à la reconnaissance de la photographie en tant que forme d'art à part entière en Allemagne. – Quelques petites retouches ponctuelles, sinon en très bon état.
