Bryan Ingham, Britannique, 1936-1997 - Collage ; collage sur carton, signé « Bryan » en haut à droite, 8 x 13 cm (ARR) Provenance : succession de l’artiste Note : Ingham puisait son inspiration dans son environnement rural, en abstraisant la topographie du littoral déchiqueté et des collines vallonnées de Cornouailles. Son style fait également clairement référence aux piliers du modernisme européen, Picasso, Braque et Mondrian. L’artiste a étudié à Central St Martins et au Royal College of Art. Il est ensuite devenu un membre à part entière du mouvement de St Ives, puisant son inspiration auprès de Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth et Peter Lanyon. Les œuvres de l’artiste font partie de collections publiques, notamment celles de l’Ashmolean Museum d’Oxford et du Victoria & Albert Museum de Londres.
