Willy James ROCHAT (1920-2004). « Démolition du cirque Medrano, Paris », 1989. Pastel signé en bas à droite, contresigné, titré et daté au dos. Haut. : 54 cm – Larg. : 65 cm Note : Le cirque Medrano, installé boulevard de Rochechouart à Paris depuis 1873, a fermé après près d’un siècle d’histoire et de spectacles, avant d’être démoli au début des années 1970. Sa disparition, liée à une opération immobilière, suscita de vives protestations ; un immeuble d’habitation, Le Bouglione, fut ensuite construit à son emplacement.
